    - For Shipping:

All coffee is roasted fresh weekly to ensure you get the freshest coffee possible. For shipping, please allow 2-3 days for coffee to be roasted and then an additional 2 days for shipping. We ship most orders priority mail via USPS. You will be automatically sent a tracking number and be updated once your coffee ships.

Local pickup happens on Thursday and Sunday. If you order by Tuesday of each week we can guarantee, your coffee will be ready on Thursday. If you order by Thursday of each week, we can guarantee your coffee will be ready on Sunday. If

you order too close to your pick up time, we cannot guarantee we will be able to fulfill your order. It is always best to order in advance as we do sell out of coffees during open roastery.

  • When Are Your Business Hours/Local Pickup Hours?

We currently open our doors to the public on Thursday’s from 2-6pm and Sundays from 9am-2pm. Customers are free to come in and pick up pre-orders on these days, or just drop in and choose from the coffee we have in stock at the

  • How do Coffee Subscriptions Work?

Our coffee subscription (aka The Great Minds Coffee Tasters Club) is a monthly coffee subscription, where members receive one package a month of 2-12oz freshly roasted coffee varieties right to their door. We rotate what offerings go out to club members each month, additionally you will receive a card with some more detailed info on the coffees included, some of our preferred brew methods, access to exclusive limited offering coffees and more. You can select how long you would like to subscribe for, with the ability to re-subscribe, pause or cancel at anytime. This is a great way to not only explore every coffee we bring in through our doors, but also partake in establishing a richer Great Minds coffee community. It also makes for a unique gift idea for the coffee connoisseur’s in your life.

  • Do You Offer Organic Coffee?

Obtaining organic certification for a coffee producer can aquite often be an expensive and arduous process. Coffee farmers operate on razor thin margins to begin with, where taking on additional production costs and logistical challenges that are associated with obtaining organic certification make it a rather cost prohibitive process. While a coffee we carry may not have an organic certification, many of the producers we choose to work with practice organic and conservational methods on their farms. We tend to put much greater emphasis on the quality of the beans we chose to source, as well as aiming to create a variety of different flavor profiles in the coffees we offer on our menu. We cup a ton of different coffees throughout the year, and only choose those that excite us the most.

  • Where did “x” Coffee Go?

Many of our Single Origin coffees are limited offerings that will run out over the course of a year. Coffee is a seasonal product, and we rotate offerings in and out throughout the year as fresh crop becomes available. There are only a handful of coffees that we bring in from the same farms year after year, many coffees are unique one-offs that are only available until we run out of stock in our warehouse. So, if you fall in love with a particular coffee, buy and savor it while you can as we can’t guarantee it will be available again. However, don’t hesitate to reach out to us and let us know what you like, we are confident we can find a new offering that you will equally fall in love with.

  • Where did the name ‘Great Minds Coffee Roasters’ originate from?

    - We threw many names against the wall when trying to come up with one that we liked and felt captured us. Emily came up with the name initially and it seemed to be the one that we kept gravitating back too upon much revision and

brainstorming. We have both always had a deep interest in History and Philosophy, and found the history around coffee in particular rather fascinating.

    - Coffee itself could be said to have been what kickstarted the Age of Enlightenment across Europe and America in the 17th to 18th Century. This era arose when society switched from starting their days with alcohol and instead started partaking in the stimulating beverage we call coffee. The first coffee houses were the very local pubs that served as meeting places for all classes of society to congregate to, where discussions flowed and ideas were born. This paved way to the first coffee culture being born in the Western World, where you soon saw from local pubs evolve coffee houses (also known as “Penny Universities”), many notable figures' throughout history not only partook in this new culture, but we would like to think this beverage served as the spark to many of their greatest contributions.

    - There are many interesting and famous figures who were coffee fanatics of this time. You have revolutionary figures such as François-Marie Arouet (Voltaire), Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, and Napoleon Bonaparte. To legendary

composers such as Ludwig Van Beethoven and Johann Sabstian Bach, all of whom were notable coffee drinkers and enthusiasts of their time. The history of coffee is an incredibly rich one, and we find such entrigue in the part it played in some of history's most influential and brilliant minds. We named our company as not just a tribute of

sorts to the great minds of coffee drinkers past, but to capture the beliefs that accompany the overarching principles that stem from this era. While coffee culture has evolved throughout history, and we pride ourselves on being a quality and specialty focused coffee roasting company, our goals and beliefs are rather humble and simple. Coffee must be approachable, taste damned good, and provide some inspiration for the goals and tasks you have set in life or immediately at hand.
