Additional Info:
We booked some of this micro-regional lot to add additional volume for our Colombia offerings for the year where this one has quickly become one of our favorites. This is a new coffee offering that one of our most longstanding and trusted importer partners introduced to us earlier this year. This year they started a new working relationship with one of Colombia’s oldest coffee grower cooperatives to source some really beautiful coffees from the Huila region of Colombia.
This lot comes from multiple-small holder farms within the municipality of Palestina, in Huila, Colombia. The coffee varietals are some of our favorites and include a blend of Red and Pink Bourbon, and Tabi coffee varietals. The coffee varietals, unique micro-climate of this region, and dedication to quality from this producer group is really all on display in the cup of this one.
In the cup you can expect a lively acidity and fruit forward coffee. We get limeade, raspberry, cane sugar sweetness, nice rounded body with a clean finish. This is the perfect coffee to start your day sipping on, it certainly holds its weight on its own, but it will also find its way as a component into some of our blends.
